WHAT IS FAMILY PAINT DAY?
You will be creating your own original desert landscape painting with step-by-step instruction from a live artist. Perfect for a unique gift or home decoration, just in time for Father’s Day!
No experience? No problem! We welcome all skill levels. This workshop is about having fun and making memories, rather than producing a “perfect” painting. We believe your creativity is unique, and encourage you to paint in a way that feels good for you!
TICKET INFORMATION
One ticket includes:
Paint materials for two people (one child and one parent/guardian)
Step-by-step guidance from our live art instructor, Mike Alcala
Light snacks and refreshments
Add-ons for one person are available for $6
MEET YOUR ART INSTRUCTOR
Mike Alcala is a Long Beach based working artist and youth art instructor. He holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Drawing and Painting from California State University of Long Beach, and completed a Teaching Artist Training Series at LACMA in 2022. He currently works with Stay Arts as an after school arts enrichment teacher for the DFEO Access After School Program at Downey Unified School District. When he isn’t teaching or working on his paintings he likes to travel and spend time with family and friends.

Each price tier offers the same benefits (guided workshop, paint materials for two, and light snacks & beverages). Add-ons for one person are available for $6.
Due to limited capacity, we may not always be able to accept walk-ins the day of the workshop. We highly encourage you to reserve your tickets early online. We appreciate your understanding!
Full refunds will be given to cancellations with at least 24 hours notice. Refunds will not be issued to same day cancellations or no shows.
Stay Gallery reserves the right to cancel workshops with low sign ups or for unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be notified at least 24 hours prior and full refunds will be processed.
Upon registration, participants must agree to Stay Gallery’s workshop waiver. Please review our waiver here.
COVID-19
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. Please stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
Face masks are strongly encouraged inside the gallery. Attendees are recommended to be fully vaccinated or to obtain a negative COVID-19 test before arriving at the event.
Hand sanitizer stations will be available in the gallery and high-touch surfaces will be disinfected throughout the event.
